.... As I get older, I've began to wonder if I'm getting lazier or smarter. Once before, I would tackle any project regardless of how crazy it was. Now, I give it a little thought and say "NOPE". Just got off the phone with my brother. He said that he was approached by someone at the local community library and asked if he and I would like to go on the Board of Directors. Apparently the board is clueless. At first thought, it was .."Sounds like a good idea, we can get sh*t straightened out". He and I make a great team. Next thought was .." Nah, we'd end up doing all the w*rk" ...

I am starting to say "No" to some folks too. My circle of friends is smaller and I am less willing to help anyone outside that circle. The in-laws don't ask me for help with car maintenance much anymore either. That is a nice switch. Not that I am OCD with my vehicles but when I see a car that looks like a drive thru dumpster it bugs me. Certainly makes me unwilling to loan anyone our vehicles, and I think they know that now
