Well I have a third candidate .... An 883 with a 1200 conversion and Wiseco 10:1 kit as well as an Andrews cam not yet installed. Reportedly runs great.
At $1500 unless it is an absolute dog it would be hard to go wrong I think.
There are plenty of ways to go wrong when buying someone else's 1/2 done project. Good luck.

Well yea, I agree. You also never know the reality until you can do a thorough inspection. And we all know no one ever exaggerates about the condition of the bike either...
But even if I had to put a few bills in it I think I would come out good. Maybe not, haven't seen this one yet.
I did see the 74 and well, it looks like a 74. Some rust, faded paint, flaking chrome, but all in all no major molestation.
Kudos to you sir.

So you're the man to talk to when I get stumped huh? Great looking bike. I think I am going to do a solo saddle similar to that.
No .........
