My first two houses were new ones, got some hammer & saw time on them, neither were built all that great. Then I got a used house and got heavy into walls, lectrical, waterwerks, brickwerk, bit a roofing, and even replaced the windows in the house I'm in now. Oh yeah, some drainwerk 'bout a year ago. And a fair amount of concrete werk. Doors. Moved some walls. Still doing that stuf, never ends in this house.

That reminded me, any of you swap out fluorescent tubes for LED yet? I did a bunch that wus in the basement and grudge, got the kind you remove the ballast for. Easy enuf, they're way brighter, and the grudge lights snap right on full bright below zero; those old tubes sure didn't. Found a company on the innernet sells em about a third of what they cost locally.

http://greenlightdepot.com/collections/led-tube-lights

I got these (and the price went up a dollar already). Cheaper and brighter than the kind you can put in without removing the ballast, but once you get these, won't be using the ballast again anyway. I've got both frosted and clear; the light spreads more with frosted, but the clear is brighter (and has more glare). I like the frosted in the basement, clear in the garage.

What I got, their brightest bulb. Haven't even seen 22w locally, usually 15 or 18. I hope they last as long as they claim, every fluorescent I've had dimmed within a year. These aren't supposed to ever dim, just work til they quit.
