Default Quick help...best location for DK Breather filter

Taking some parts to be installed today and my DK air filter with external breather tube and filter is one of them. Where should I have the shop put the little filter?

I made a horse shoe, and have the filter directly under the air cleaner. Looks wise, not all that great, but I have easy access to get it off and clean it. I have seen a lot of guys run the two breather tubes together into a tee barb, then run one line up towards one of the front down tubes. Other options I have seen have the single tube run up around the front of the cam chest, then under the bike. Or, I have also seen the single tube run to the rear, and secured near the rear master cylinder.

Oh yeah, I have also seen the tubes run to a tee, then over the top of the engine and secured on the primary side somewhere... It's all up to you, really.

I ran mine up front to the cam cover then under the bike, along the frame rail, and out to the rare master cylinder

Mine join up into a t right below the AC, then I ran it backward to the swing arm and have it attached just below the master cylinder.

You can kind of get it from this pic.

I also ran it to the front tubes before but had to live it when I installed the oil cooler.

I ran mine to the front of the motor and down, the filter is slightly behind the motor now.
Thought of moving it towards the swingarm, but it was so cold in my garage when I did it I figured it could wait until better weather.
If you don't like how it's done it's easy enough to move yourself.

What I did. And will probably do again, lol...

I liked the easy access, and as long as you keep the oil level right (half at hot) you don't get any soaking of the filter.

I ran mine underneath like a horseshoe into the t connector like someone else mentioned above. It will be easy to access and I tried positioning the tube around different paths and just didn't care for the look of it. I got the Outlaw 587 Bobber style cover which is 3/4 the size all around from stock. I did have a thought of cutting the stock one down in width so it would hold the new filter, but just be wider and not stick out so far. That would make it so the filter is hidden as well.

I really don't mind how it looks though. If I could get a black filter I'd just paint the whole thing black.

You don't really need to change it. Just take it off and hit it with brake cleaner at every oil change is what I did.
