So I thought I was just about done - but its always something! I bought the Diablo Royale Customes lower speaker pods and installed them. When I went to screw on my Arc Moto 602's they don't fit in the hole! As I see it I have two options - 1. Grind away a lot of plastic to make them fit. or 2. make a spacer ring about 1/2" thick. As for grinding I am concerned about compromising the strength, as for the ring not sure what material to use? Thoughts?
No offense Blade. But those pods are hideous! You bought the wrong pods man! Need to go with the Harley CVO pods or the fairing factory pods. Those speakers should fit in there like a glove!!

LOL, hey Gan how much are all the CVO parts to do this job? Adapters, grills etc
So about $200 bucks for the 13' and down bikes. The pods and the grills are all you need. Then you can install what ever 6.5 speaker in there you want. They all fit.

I went the exact same route as you did over the weekend. For 45.00 I said why not? I had to trim it with shears to get the speakers to fit. All the way out to the 3 dimple mounting holes. It won't hurt the integrity of the product, it is still very sturdy. I just rode in to work, a 25 mile hike and everything worked and sounded fine. However, Like stated, They aren't the prettiest thing to look at. I will be changing mine out down the road but for a 45.00 mounting system, I'm ok with that for now.
Here are the parts needed for adding speaker boxes the 2014+ model lower fairings, NON WATER COOLED.

CVO speaker grills PN: 76000065 $31 each
Grill screws PN: 10200105 (10) $4.80
Gasket seals PN: 25700311 are not sold separately. 3m Adhesive tape wrapped around the tray edge will work.

Yeah I guess I'll order some. So I cannot use the Moto grills?

Also those grills have a medallion right where the tweeter is - is there an alternative? I would think it would block a bit of the sound...
I received these Friday, haven't fit them yet, I'll let you know within the next couple of days.
They look and feel solid and the vent slides like my stock glovebox pods did when disassembled.

Trust me. The Harley Medallion DOES NOT BLOCK THE SOUND! Can't use the Moto grills. They will not fit. I guess you could mod them to fit but I think it's way too much trouble. Bert laid out an even better deal in his post above!!
