Has anyone replaced their front wheel on their HD 48? I have a 2015 HD 48 and I do like the way it looks as is, but I am just curious how easy would it be to swap to bigger front wheel, skinnier tire? Would 883s front wheel fit? Are spacers required? What kind? Etc...
Thank you
This is my HD 48 BTW....

You need a new front end. Or ditch your frok brace and either offset your front wheel with 1 disk Or maybe run a dual disk front set up since your axel with 48 forks is wider.

All this sounds like too much work... Looks like I'llbe stickig with what I got.
I have a 21" front wheel, take it from me I would love to stick the front wheel on my XL1200C that you have, the 21" skinny tyre doesn't exactley feel you with confidence when you doing high speeds.
I think your wheels/tires look bad***. Fits the look of your bike. I changed my wheel from 19 to 21 with slightly narrower tires to fit my fender in the stock location. But your fork looks wider so as mentioned, you may need to get a narrow glide fork or do something with the gap such as dual disk, otherwise it will look weird with a wide fork and skinny wheels. I know of forum members who went from narrow to wide, but do not recall anyone going from wide to narrow. IMO your ride comfort will suffer with an narrow wheel, but it all depends on the type of riding you do or plan to do.

???
All you need is the wheel/tire of your choice. Get/make the right spacers for your wheel and rotor.............done, you dont need a new front end. No yo wont be able to use your fender.

Vulcan sells wheel and rotor spacers but they are made for their kits. Might not get the exact size you need. But you could get longer ones and make them shorter till they fit.
