Heading from western PA to Eastern CT, - All packed up and ready to go ts only about 450 miles up to my destinantion, so it should be a nice break in the butt ride. Hoping the rain drops stay away from me, as there is a 80 % chance in my home town when Im planning to leave. But once I get an 1 1/2 north, it looks like smooth dry sailing from there,
Good luck and watch your azz, enjoy the trip and ride safe.
Every year I head out to the Lone Star Rally, I hit rain going or coming home every time.
It's always and adventure every time, here's to making that trip!
Cheer's from south central Tejas!
Back from the trip! Didn't do much site seeing as I ran the interstate for the most part. This was my first trip of the season, and my first trip on the new ride. I gotta say that this new bike eats the miles with ease!
I lucked out and did not hit any weather except a few rain drops here an there. Didn't even have to put on my rain gear.
Going out there was crazy construction along with bad traffic, took me 10 hours to get there (with stops) I routed around the construction on my way home, so it only took me 8 to get back. -- on my old ride trips of this length had me pretty fatigued by the time of my arrival, but not so much on the Rushmore! This makes me even more pleased with it.
Pit stopped at 3 dealers along the way for poker chips.
cool, sounds like you had a good time. The GF and I got a 350 mile lunch run in last weekend. Its good to be on the road again. Your right the new bikes eat up the miles.
Did You run 76 or take 80/90. I've been out to Johnstown and Windbur a couple of times. Tolls on 76 are ridiculous!!
I ran 99 to 80 to 81 to 84, the only toll was $1.50 to cross the bridge in NY. I agree, the PA turnpike tolls are ridiculous. I run the pike often to go visit my daughter in the Harrisburg area. The EZ pass helps some as you get discounted tolls.
