Just bit the bullet and bought V&H Power Duals and a FP3 for bike, hooked up the FP3 to bike and done all the pairing stuff and gone to download a map to bike and it goes through...
Map transfer
Connected to VIN *****(my VIN)
Linking,
Sending stock to server,
Checking for available slots,
Transferring Map
3 seconds later it comes up with "process did not complete verify power on/ engine off. please try again. Code 1301"
Power up the App and it says it's not linked to any bike??
Am I missing something here???
I have V&H Power Duals and Std CVO mufflers (put monster rounds with Power Duals on the map)
E-mailed Chris Neely at V&H Customer services, he replied within 30 minutes, advised me to make sure I had the latest IOS operating systems on my Iphone (which I had'nt) gave me advice on which map to use, and it all downloaded to bike FIRST TIME of trying.
That for me is EXCELLENT customer service!!! Cheers Chris.

Hello Adrian, I saw your stock map being uploaded to the server multiple times (attempts) and communicating with the device and flashed the calibration ID 15E1102558.
The 1301 error states that the internal chip had timed out, (writing the new map to the internal memory). Upon your upload we noticed that you are running an older version of iOS, (9.2.1). Whereas the current version is 9.3.1. This may be causing an issue. I suggest to update the OS and reflash the bike, also make sure your internet connection has adequate bandwidth and strength otherwise the server could time you out as well. Everything else looked good on our end.
I have yet to hear of a FP3 fail that wasn't either user error or something quickly fixed by VH.
Come up with a specific problem. Tell VH about it, and give them a chance to respond. Until then, don't sour someone else's experience with your impatience.
Sure did, but y'all stay in denial. Ive clearly outined issues ive had. I am entitled to my opinion and voice. This still is America right? As an update i had problems with both units, original and replacement. Technicians werent knowledgeable and none if their suggestions fixed the issues. And again I've had an FP3 on my dyna since 2013. Not user error.
I talked with the guys from VH at Daytona Bike Week and they even reviewed my FP3 map and made some adjustments while my buddy was getting pipes installed. GREAT bunch of folks at VH.
I had a power vision on my 2014 and thought I would try something different on my 2016 so I went with a FP3 and yes I like the FP3 better. Simpler for me and there canned maps seem to be a tad better. We are running 4 of them in my family and they all have been trouble free.

I remember your issues as I had the same problems VH sent me a new FP3 right away. I just have to turn off the Info BT to get maps to load to the FP3; minor inconvenience.
