Yeah it's all Ultras and street glides at my dealer, usually there will be one or two Road Kings at the most. My guess is that it's heavily dependant on the area you're in. On the road around here I'll often see 5 Ultras before I see a bagger of any other kind. Of course that's all anecdotal evidence.
Fine by me, the less blue Road Kings that look like mine, the more rare mine is!
RK's are a rare commodity. You dont see that many and that is a good thing. It makes them even more valuable for those that want one.
SG are very popular, and everyone should be able to get one for under 5k MSRP. Dealers should be able to take a hit knowing how many they sell. So dont be fooled into paying full price for a SG knowing how much inventory there is.
I went from a 09 Electra Glide FLHT to 15 Road King and to me both being stock, the EG was more comfortable. But it had nothing to do with the removable shield or batwing, rather the FLHT's seat and bars were perfect for all day comfort while I new going in I'd need to change the seat and probably bars (which I did) on the RK. I find the RK's shield offers every bit as much protection as the batwing with a bit less buffeting air coming from underneath.
