man, some of these helmets look like they would be hard to breath in. i still have a fish bowel face shield on a 3/4 helmet and a couple of flat shields on 3/4 helmets. never wear them but own them. wife wears a good 1/2 when we go out.
Not to bash anyone's choices, but, unless you plan on flying straight up into the air and coming straight down on the top of your head, HOW do these "helmets" offer ANY protection?? Looks like a soup bowl with a chin strap............
I have one of these and it is my regular use helmet. Very comfortable and DOT rated. I also have two Harley half helmets but they put so much padding in them so they catch a lot of wind and are hard on the neck over long rides. Real long days (>400 miles) I use my modular HJC
...now, if I had only worn that silly lid on my left knee instead of my head... of course in the er all they could think of was to ask me whether or not I'd been wearing a helmet when I torn my knee apart on the pavement - go figure!
knee pads...maybe the next outrageous "requirement" now that people are propagandized about the largely imaginary "virtue" of a helmet...

There's righteous indignation on both sides of the equation. Wear a helmet or don't but don't go around stereotyping or insulting anybody else's choice.
