I can't believe you guys are still arguing about this. There's clearly only one cool bike. The one you're riding.
this is some good entertainment watching the LR-S owners lose it ! its comical.
i think harley should make only one bike per model (PlainJane) and people should modify as they see fit! then no one would care about all the plastic on the LR-S lol
but in all seriousness Harleys are about individuality and who wants a standard S model or a standard model anyway...
Actually, most of those things on that list are things I don't care for. I have strong dislikes for # 2,3,4,5,6,7. #8 doesn't count as all LRs have that. So the only thing in that list is #1 which, I feel fairly strongly that my modded standard will smoke the stock LR-S. My bike was black. It gets old fast. Everyones Dyna is black. Ignore my sig pics. My LR is white now.
Like has been said, if you don't like it, don't buy it. I love mine & love the fact that it's mine. Cruise control is a feature I like on long rides. ABS took some getting used to but I like it now. The air cleaner is not in the way, you possibly haven't ridden one. One of the best features I like is keyless ignition & alarm. I like the side plate mounted vertical like I had on my Iron 883. I will be getting a wider rear tire though.
I will be willing to give your modded motor a run against my "stocker". This motor is a beast in stock form it just keeps pulling from 2000rpms to red line & once I put a bit of money into pipes & tuner like you have it will be even better. Buddy that works at the HD dealer is putting the 117ci kit onto his soon. I can't wait to see that beast.
I like the S because:
1. cvo 110 motor
2. S E intake
3. Uprgaded suspension
4. Aluminum rims
5. Electronic Cruise control
6. Ride by wire Throttle
7. Chopped rear fender
8. 2 gauges (badass) hehe
Looks badasss!!!!
With a 110, shouldnt it need a wayyyyyy bigger back tyre? Whats the use of getting a big engine if your tyre is going to spin you into oblivion up to the 4th gear? Is the noise it makes the only factor?
but in all seriousness Harleys are about individuality
When half the people have Harleys, what is individuality? Getting the special edition? the bigger one? the shiniest one? being able to carry your whole house in it?

Yes it does. I posted that in my previous reply. The wider rear tire will be added to mine.
