Default Cobra fi2000 Powrpro Black Adjustments

Hey all. So to make a short story long....I picked up a used 2013 FXDWG that someone had the dealer install SE255, Big Sucker, Thundeheader and a PCV. He then put 4500km (2800miles) on it. It goes good, but not the smoothest and it pops a lot on decel. I checked for exhaust/intake leaks and all good. The dealer installed a canned map and threw it on the Dyno so I have a sheet from a single run as a starting point.
That's the background. I know it should go on a Dyno and get tuned, but I would have to travel to get that done and would end up costing me around $1000. So I bought a Powrpro Black. Installed it yesterday in about an hour. I had no O2 sensors so I just ignored that part ( as recommended by Andre @ Cobra). It ran rough for a couple of seconds on startup and then smoothed right out. Smelled a touch rich as well, but that went away as well. Took it for a ride and it still popped on decel at first, but the more I put it in situations where it would pop, the less it seemed to do it. So...so far so good I guess. I do want to play with the Bluetooth and fine tune some of the settings. Not really sure what they do though. I will post screen shots of the instructions and maybe someone out there can give me some advise? Thanks.

Since your system has no o2 feedback system (closed loop) not sure how tune changes can occur. The system can only do what the stock ECM does and no more.

The second last paragraph explains it.

POWRPRO BLACK

This new and improved version of the award winning PowrPro fuel tuner, now uses the latest accelerometer enabled software for precise real-time tuning.
The tuner uses faster smart chip and accelerometer technology to continuously read the bike’s EFI delivery every time the motorcycle accelerates in order to optimize the air/fuel mixture for the best performance. With its Continuously Variable Tuning (CVT) (patent pending) technology, the PowrPro Black will yet again revolutionize motorcycle fuel-injection tuning. Even more so because now it includes the option for fine-tuning non-acceleration fuel via bluetooth technology and a smart device based app.

And here’s the really great news, should you need to adjust your bike’s air fuel ratio outside of the acceleration area, you can do that now with your smart device. Simply go to your app store and search for the PowrPro Black app. Simple instructions on the app will guide you through the available tuning options.

Through the app you will be able to:

• Monitor the injector duty cycle to determine fuel injector performance

• Add fuel for specific engine modifications tuning the low rpm and cruise fuel zones

• Evaluate and monitor how much fuel the unit ads in specific tuning zones with a circular graph as well as light across the bottom of the screen

• Take fuel away for specific tuning requirements

• View RPM in real time

• Simple reset tools allows you to return the unit to its stock settings

Advancements in circuit boards and accelerometers have made it possible to do things today not possible just a few years ago in the art and science of controlling fuel mixture through remote adjustments.

Older so-called auto-tune systems rely on O2 sensors that must be installed in the exhaust to adjust the air/fuel ratio according to a pre-set map—but varying conditions can render that EFI mapping less than ideal. And regardless of how many dyno runs you perform, you always end up with only one EFI map—which may not provide the optimum setting for the way you’ll be riding tomorrow, next month or next year.

Unlike other systems, PowrPro Black offers plug-in performance: no bungs, no O2 sensors, no computer hook-ups or downloads, no sorting through a bewildering array of EFI maps to find one that’s just right. And there is no need to run the bike on the dyno to tune or verify tuning settings. You simply plug the PowrPro into your bike’s existing wiring harness and immediately enjoy continuously variable tuning as PowrPro Black delivers the optimum fuel mixture instantly and dynamically.

I can confirm that the Powrpro Black is performing as promised, but my question is more related the the "fine tuning" the Bluetooth app allows.

Guess I'll just play with it and report back. I do plan on putting the bike on a Dyno sometime and comparing to the PCV run.
