FLHX Street Glide Rear Fender Trim ???? Cracked!!!
hi guys!
so this just happened!
was play some ball with the kids and I threw a ball that cracked my rear fender trim! i am sooooo pissed ... just had the bike painted and all... do any of you know were I can find another? tried looking online with no luck.
That "plastic" you are talking about is held on with (4) bolts. It looks like the fender is low. If they are loose, I would get with the shop who shot it. If bolts are loose, then the issue is theirs and hopefully they have paint left. The bolts do come loose and then, the amount of vibration increases. Yes, it is a bummer what you are going through. Good luck.
I see where your baseball damaged the rear fender trim, but the cracked above that was probably not part of the baseball damage. It is probably from the rear trim being left loose and it cracked where most of them do. On my 2016 SGS, I have adjusted mine at least three times in 5,000 miles.Mine has three nuts per side of fender that secure trim and I loosen them, hold trim up against fender lower edge and tighten.
