Le Pera BareBones; it's what I used on my '03 Wide Glide and now on my '13. Nothing else will get you back far enough, it will put you back as far as you can on the fender without going to a custom seat. I'm not quite as tall as you but my 36" inseam makes up for some of it

Auto upholestry guy.Had mine made for me.Told him where I wanted to be ,he made up the foam and covered temporarily so I could try it.Originally tilted me toward the tank so he added more foam in the right place. Then he made a cover from scratch.May not be a showpiece but I can torch a tank before I have to get off. This was all done cheaper than a custom seat you will be stuck with if it is not right.

I have a predator seat that puts me in a good position but is only good enough for bar hopping. I have been using the Vintage Wide Solo for the past few years and it works very well for me. Im 6'1".

A seat that moves you back and up will actually give you more leg room. Plus there are also extended foot controls available.

For 2 up,, I had a Mustang touring that set me back and up further than my currant Saddlemem 2 up.... For solo,, like Tincup said,, the LePera BareBones will set you back and down about as far as anything you will find... I have never had a problem with the comfort of the BareBones like many do.. But seat comfort has never really been a problem for me no matter what seat I have had on there,, stock or otherwise..

I am 6'7" and have the Mustang Wide Touring on my 08 WG alos had one on an 03. It does put me down and back a bit. Damn comfortable seat for rider and passenger. I have done a longest day of around 780 miles and many 300-500 days.
Here is the seat on the Mustang website for your 01, they also have a version without conchos and studs

In addition I have the 3" extension on the forwards from Kuryakyn on the 08 and also ran them on the 03

Here is a pic of the 08 with seat and extended forwards
