Installed "Clip-on Ferrite Ring Core RFI EMI Noise Suppressor Cable Clip" 5mm on my PowerVision cable to eliminate the interference to the unit so the screen does not freeze or go blank. Gauges came right up...we'll see if it works on the road.
Took it out for a short test ride and my screen went blank on more than one occassion so the clips did not work for me.
Just sharing my shock change out in case anyone is contemplating doing the same. Changed my burly slammer 10.5" shocks for a HD Street Glide Air-oil Shock 54662-09 with Schrader valves.
According to information I received when researching the air shocks, the SG air shocks are 11.5" which is the same as the sportster low stock shock height. I am vertically challenged so I am tippy toeing at 11.5". I cannot use lowering blocks with saddlebags since lowering blocks move the lower shock eyelets 1.5" rearward and there is no room in the shock cutouts on the saddebags to move the shock rearward.
If anyone can think of a solutions to help me plant both feet on the ground, please let me know, otherwise I will need to reinstall the Burly slammers. The ability to plant both feet when stopping and being able to move the bike when seated are more important than a comfortable ride.....safety first.
