So we are down to the last phase of the bike part of the trip. we have about 140 miles or so left at this point but we have realized that our speeds are pretty low. RWC is not an edge person and his words were it is a white knuckler at some spots. I dont mind heights but i found myself riding tense. No guard rails in many spots and campers and motor homes coming at you along with some sprt drivers who ride right up on you make it a little tough to enjoy the ride. But, it was mid week and not real thick traffic. But, it was also colder and foggier this last day.

we did stop at the Port arena light house on the way

and then onto San Francisco
The bridge was foggy and the wind was terrible heading to the bridge but once we were on it, the wind wasn't noticeable
from my gopro

then we walked across it a few days later!

My name is Kevin Ruckdeschell and we have a much better report on Facebook if you want to check it. Our friends and I had a magnificent time and spent 3 full days in San Francisco which we report on as well. We have traveled the country as a group since 2010 and raced dirt bikes together for years as well. No stress, no bickering, easy going and several u turns per trip which is expected! The bike rental was a breeze and the boys in Portland were super cools and the guys in San Francisco had a great looking building and a fairly painless return. the folks in front of us had a wreck on theirs so we had to wait a little bit on them before our bikes were processed. Feel free to ask any questions! We learned a lot but never did figured the bus system in SF enough to feel comfortable. The Bart was easy but their bus info was terrible. I have thousands of pictures, some much better than posted but I cleared my phone and need to dig around on the cloud to find them. Facebook converted many of my pictures into cool little movies with some music but i cant rob the pics off facebook now, lol. Many of the pics I posted on this thread are from RWC and his wife along with my wife as well.It was neat to relive the trip as I was posting

Very cool! Sorry bout glass beach. People have been removing glass from the beach for years. Locals know about a different location that is more colorful. Looks like a great trip!
