I naturally assume the video is a setup but on reflection, I know Moonbats who are just pro-government enough in their thinking, that they may actually believe this is how regulation works.
Deer are a big problem up here too. I'm always worried riding to work in the dark of the morning.
Glad your didn't get hurt to bad, but cracked ribs must really hurt.

Maybe get a trials bike and just jump over it? Not sure what else. Hit a deer in my Mitsubishi Lancer and managed $6000 in damage so I'm not so sure anything with two or three wheels is going to fare any better than your Road Glide.
Get good insurance and slow down is probably your best bet.

Was already running slow. I'm thinking if it would have had a plastic fender, it wouldn't have wrinkled and locked the front wheel.Went down pretty fast when wheel stopped turning. Lucky it had cooled off, I had ridden all day with a t-shirt until an hour before the crash. BTW, it takes about 300 feet of sliding to burn through a Harley leather jacket.
