I have the same kit. What adjustments were made to the heads and why?
Took the heads down another .045 to bump comp. ratio up to around 10:7. I"m gonna switch over Thunderhead X-series as for this ratio its a better pipe. should bring the power to around 127-128/130-132
Well for those of you that have been following along I wanted to give you an update after my return from Sturgis. It was 4,300 miles in 10 days and an outstanding trip. Now for the bad news. I was about 400 miles into ride, Nashville TN, and the bike started to perform terribly. It would hardly run, was running HOT, sucky fuel mileage and would cut off when I stopped at a light or for traffic. I had only ridden it about 150 miles since the dealer tuned it before I left home.
Short story the tune the dealer put in was corrupt. Once I arrived on Stirgis I found a tuner and he went to work. After about 2.5hrs tacking down the issue he had to delete the tune the dealer put in and start over. About 2hrs on the Dyno and WOW completely different than what I started with. The remaining 2,500 miles the bike performed great. Excellent throttle response and believe it or not I am averaging between 38 and 40 MPG depending on how hard I ride.
I want to send a big shout out to Matt Smith at "Those Dyno Guys" from Zimmerman MN. I highly recommend these guys if you need a good tune or some engine work done.
Now I have to go back to the dealer to see if they will make it right for what they screwed up. I'm out a $1,000 plus a discolored new Pro Pipe.
I got my Stage V tire kit when they first came out for my 103. Dyno from HD 104hp & 115tq. exhaust RC Component. Didnt like the way it was sounding a lot of engine noise. I thought it was running rich but I'm no tech. I wanted to change out my exhaust. Took it to get a custom tune and change my head pipe out. The builder ran a bore scope and found scaring on the cyl walls " ****" maybe from running so rich don't know. Now it's back at HD getting checked out. Since I got mine there has been upgrades to this kit. Hope it smooths out alittle.
My new exhaust will be a Fullsac DX 2.1.2 duals with my RC mufflers. The builder said we could be getting 114 to 115 hp and 120+ tq.
Saying that you leave some on the table with your exhaust.

Your scaring could also be from a ham fist'd tech with dirty engine building habits. Some of these guys literately pull the stuff out of the box and bolt it on. The parts as they come in the box are in no way shape or form ready to be bolted on without a good cleaning. Then they have to have clean assembly techniques. Some of these guys just don't work clean and don't have a clean area to work in.
