I've had my 2006 1200C for 2 months and put 8000k on it (5000 miles) Like it very much. As you can see I can hardy keep my *** off the darn thing. Love the power and torque.
Give it a good stage 1 upgrade and you will set the motor free.
I have always been partial to blue so naturally I like your bike. However even with 9k miles (not many at all) it looks almost brand new! Congrats and stays safe out there.
