Yea I've been using the same powder coater for 10 years and never had that happen. The only coating I've had that was a problem was from Kuryakyn, that stuff was crap.
I have been wanting a SGS special for awhile. I went to my dealer last week trying to get a deal on tbe 16. He said please do yourself a favor and ride both the 16 & 17. Well i could have saved on ton of money had I bought the 16. Got the 17 - all have to say is wow what a great machine love this bike!
Congrats/Congrats Gunny on your new ride !!.....don't let them kick you too much....I'm on my 28th HD & my 4th wife(keeper) so, let the wheels roll !! :-)

Now THAT'S truth!
Funny story. I happen to agree with Gunny that this color screams for black. Sunday I was at one of the local dealers where they insisted it needed to be chromed, as they did. Gotta admit. You can go either way with this or about any bike.
Maybe a fella needs two. One chrome and one black.
Well no actually I have two bikes and the other one is blacked out as well, but as I said some colors scream for chrome like Mysterious Red Sunglo etc. Here's the other guy in my garage.
I'm thinking the engine itself is NOT powdercoated, but painted. In fact you can buy the Harley wrinkle finish engine paint from them for touch up if you want to respray it. Frames were powdercoated and held up nicely.
