[QUOTE=slvrscoobie;15504891]put my new quick release sissybar and luggage rack on. Went pretty smoothly, except for unscrewing the bolt that holds the turn signal to the chrome cover, and installing the QR bolts before reattaching the turn signal. ooops.
Otherwise it went pretty smoothly, except the wife says I changed something with the passenger pegs, which I didnt. I guess the new bar makes her sits slightly different. Also the backrest is much smaller and shorter, so she didnt like that either. Guess Ill be looking for a black tall backrest in the near future. :/
oh and I took some new photos of it, without the SB
DK Customs makes some passenger peg extension kits that bring the passenger pegs out further, maybe those will allow your wife a better, more comfortable seating position and foot position.
After 3 plus years and ~13k miles replaced the stock battery with a YUASA AGM.
Got it for ~$90-95 off of Amazon...Revzilla and Dennis Kirk wanted ~$130 for the same battery.
Bike wouldn't start without jumping and was running like crap right before I changed it.
Same here. I got the Yuasa GYZ16H AGM battery. More CCA and higher amp hour verses stock.
My battery was the original on my 2009 1200 according to the previous owner. He always kept it on a maintainer and so did I after I bought it from him last May.
But the starter would pause and stumble usually the first start of the day. After warm up it seemed ok, but after 7 years I figured that was w-a-y over due. Works great now. .. . starting is positive and fast.

Installed my DK Customs 2" forward extensions. Why, oh Why did I wait so long. I cant get over how much of a difference 2" can make ( no jokes please) If any of you are on the fence like I was, then dont log another mile of cramped riding. Get a set !
