I'm here!! (UK time differences and all that) my CVO is the Gold Rush/Carbon Dust and the Roadglide is Carbon Dust and Autumn Sunset Pearl (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...01608146792455) mine is V&H Power duals and FP3, RG has dresser duals. Mine has 6500 mls and is in showroom condition, uses zero oil and water!! RG has 8700 mls and has,nt been looked after to my standards. The dealer is being coy about the cash back, "come and see me at the weekend"!! I'd love a RG but at the moment I'm thinking this may not be the one.
My first thought was "Why is he wanting to get your bike and give you some cash back?" But take it for a nice long test ride and decide for yourself. That will cost you nothing and you will know. Personally I would be curious
I love rarely seeing a RG on the road knowing they have no idea what they are missing. I have yet to see a Superior Blue RG on the road in passing at all. Get the right seat and windshield for your height and i think you will never look at a Batwing again. if you don't like the RG i'm cool with that too. I like being the bike nobody else has in my neck of the woods.
My boss always was asking what kind of bike I had. I told him a V Rod. He always would say he wanted a bagger. When I got my RGS I saw him and showed him the picture. He smiled and said "Look at this!!" He got a 2016 RGS in black. We now ride every Sunday
I've never rode a RG so can't speak to how they feel, but the thing I don't understand is all the pissing and moaning about batwings and the wind. I recently got back from over 2400 miles thru Texas, New Mexico and Colorado on my 15 Ultra and they were 2400 + very windy miles, especially in Colorado. Never once was alarmed at the way the bike handled the wind. Wind is part of the ride just like heat, cold and rain. Maybe I'm missing something....but I have been eyeballing a CVO RG Ultra.
Rode a new CVO Streetglide abd got on interstate around trucks.....would never trade My 15 CVO Roadgkide for a batwing again.Loved the new engine and suspenson on the new bike.
