Here's my suggestion, buy the following book, read it yourself first. Give it to him and advise him that you have read it, and that it is the single best book on staying alive while riding, and it is written by a world renowned expert. No lecturing is involved on your part, it is a gift, so he can't really be pissed, and you have gone above and beyond your responsibility.
I believe this "brother" believer believes too much of his own BS and will soon have a come to Jesus meeting with the road he is on. Then he will truly believe that he messed up. Maybe.

What is he doing that makes him unsafe? Example?? Are they really legit unsafe habits or just unsafe how you see it? We all have different styles of riding. Funny that counter steering point, mentioned that to a few new riders and they looked at me like I had 3 heads, one even argued it is impossible to steer one way and turn another, he picked that up right chicken Charlie once he tried it
I took the MSF course about 15 years ago. I know about counter steering. But I never heard anyone talk about it the way you do. Why would someone steer one way and turn another(using counter steering I presume)?
I'm usually not one for commenting on such banter but... why not... I certainly read them.
I can take a hard line approach which culminates in my thought process... "Evolution." Do something generally accepted as unsafe or from a result of a lack of common sense... pay the consequences.
Because you seem to have a devotion to this cat... I will most of his raves probably resulted in the purchase to pleasure ratio. The more you spend, the better it is generally perceived... the greater your own "wow" factor and braggadocios nature evolves... Just ask the modified ohlins guys on here. BTW, I am saving for howards so... lets not trip.
If you want to clear your conscious... either... don't ride with this guy or suggest to him that he alone or the two of you attend a beginners MSF course together so that your riding safety when near him will not be compromised unless he is a complete buffoon.
If the guy can't even keep the bike tracking where he wants to be in the lane, quit riding with him. I have no idea how he think centrifugal force could pull him toward the center line!
Recommend to your brother that y'all take an Advanced class together. That's no insult. Should be fun.
Obviously reading doesn't help.. The comments in this thread about countersteering alone only confirm that some of us that think we know the basics, don't... sad.
Maybe a better way to describe 'counter steering' would be to say "trying to turn the handlebars to the left will help the bike to curve to the right"--only at speed,of course.
I think maybe most experienced riders do this subconsiously, without even thinking about it.
