Default No love for hard bags?

I was thinking of Viking bags with the shock cut out. Negative reviews are noted as is all the love for LP bags but I wasnt thinking canvas. I will reconsider the LP. Thanks for the pictures. If hard bags, I'm thinking of Switchback size, not Road King

I have the all leather version of the T Sport bags. They cost a bit more than the cordura ones but they are well worth it. LP also has the traditional style bags with the same mounting system as the T Sports. There is no cleaner or more sturdy mounting system better than this. You will not be disappointed.

I'm not sure it's been mentioned, but you can quickly and easily lock your LeatherPros bags to the bike with a simple padlock inside each one.

I have Viking Bags on my 2002 FXDX. There may be bags with thicker material, but for the price I'm happy with these. These have the shock cut-outs and are lockable.

They're the best.

+1 on the Leather Pros.

Leather Pros... Although I went against the grain and didn't get the T-Sport bags. The leather T-Sport bags weren't yet available when I ordered these or I probably would have gotten them. However, I'm actually very happy with these bags. I constantly go back and forth about selling these and picking up a set of the T-Sport bags, but the reality is that I don't usually keep them on the bike unless I know I have to carry something, and they work really well. As other's have noted, there simply is no better mounting system. On and off in about 15 seconds a side, with basically no hardware left on the bike.

A couple of things that I like better than the T-Sport version (I think): Opening from the lid rather than the perimeter is very convenient when they're mounted; the lid design makes them pretty much waterproof; the locks are good enough to be an annoyance to a thief; the optional carrying straps are very convenient when bringing the bags inside; if you're carrying a lot of gear, the strap design allows you to secure a small duffle bag on top of each bag...

However, when mounted, the T-Sport bags really follow the line of the bike nicely.

If you want a bag that detaches easily, I don't know why you would really look beyond Leather Pros. I'm no commercial, but the build quality is great, the mounting system is great, and there are a handful of different options available.
