A little strip of Velcro in an inconspicuous yet easily-reached place allows me to move the controller between my Tri Glide and two Road Kings on a whim.

Thanks for your input everyone, but have gone with the wireless gerbings controller, seems to be exactly what i was trying to achieve.
A bundle of wires on the tank or hanging out of a pocket is a cumbersome mess.

I have the remote controllers and mounted them in the center console.

Thanks captain itch. Ive been looking for something like this for my gerbings controller. I just ordered two. One for me and one for my father in law. I hate having my controller in my side pocket where its hard to reach especially with gloves on.

Well, I put a 1" square of Velcro on the controller, and then a 1" square on the tank(!) just ahead of the seat. Easily within reach. It's a wired controller, so the dc connector tucks under the seat when not in use. There is a new heavy duty Velcro out now, both sides are the same and snaps in place securely.

On my 09 Ultra, I installed the permanent dual controller. Drilled 2 holes on the left side of the center console and installed the controllers under there. Had the 2 connections mounted to the heat guard on the left side.

On the 16 Ultra I went wireless. Like it a whole lot better.
Mounted the controller on top of the clutch master cylinder.
Receiver stuffs up in the jacket liner pocket.

Same here. I carry the wired controller in the saddle bag just-in-case, but the wireless has been flawless for years now.

I just installed the wireless dual Heat-troller and mounted permanently on the lower dash using the blank where the right switches would normally go so there were no permanent holes in the dash itself and only have to replace the switch blank to return to stock. So now all I have to carry is the receiver in the inside pocket of the liner and a single wire to plug into power.

I'll take some pictures later tonight and post them.
