Mick, I keep thinking that I'd like to get an old bike to restore. Ya know, something that I can buy for a few hundred bucks , then put thousands more than it's worth into it. Has to be much easier than cars and take up much less room.
The Honda 305 was the first 'full size' bike I had and damn I had some good times on that thing. Thought it was the fastest thing ever made! Lots of them for sale on the net, 3500-5000 seems to be the going asking price.
Much better to use your method....500 for the bike and about 10 g's in restoration!
