Having four metrics before my RK, I have to admit it has taken getting used to watching the bike roll forward slightly once the stand is down. I too always give the stand an extra push forward before setting it down. I've never laid the bike down, but I still find it un-nerving lol.

Three times in 1 week? Gotta revoke his man club card and change the secret handshake.

In an abundance of fairness to the OP, I wonder if the jiffy stand bolt was / is loose. I found mine to the point of almost falling off at around 3k miles. Just sayin'

Pretty sure after the 1st time I would have dropped mine, I'd took a looky see.
At some point you got to push the top button to have the elevator go all the way up

Otherwise that side stand is bullet proof once the tab locks in .
Thanks!

I may check into that.

So maybe handing a Goldwing driver the keys to a Harley touring bike is like handing a Prius driver the keys to an old Dodge Power Wagon. Man, I'd love to have a 1950's stakebody Power Wagon!

I dropped my 09 twice, both times when I thought I put it down, but couldn't see in the total darkness. But being comfortable in my manhood, I let it go to the point of "oh crap".

Now I do a Hotel Six, I leave a light on.

Hey, you forgot to check into the new members section and say hello. It's bad form, even for a troll.
Guess you won't be posting any pics of your new bike anytime soon, huh?
