This past summer I "ditch tested" the helmet shown below. I went off the road at 35 mph into a ditch and broke 7 ribs and a collarbone and took 27 stitches to my R leg. I was in the hospital for a week.
My helmet was scratched up badly on the L side and back but my head was in perfect condition.
I like these new dual purpose helmets because they have a sun visor which I think is important since I've had 2 facial skin cancers.
Shoei Neotec are suppose to be equivalent to Schuberth C3 Pro.
I wanted the Shuberth (newerC4) but did not fit my head, so I went for the Shoe Neo . Had a Nolan104 in past. It broke. Also have an Arai XD dual sport ( awesome ), but Kind of weird looking on a cruiser though.
I have worn a Scorpion EXO900 modular and a Shoei NeoTech. NeoTech hands down a way better helmet. It does cost quite a bit more but since it's your head, it's money well spent.
I know people will argue otherwise but I have always worn a helmet, I really can't see what not wearing a helmet solves, I for one don't want my head splattered down the road like an over ripe melon, secondly I don't often wear open face helmets, especially since last year coming off the sportster and seeing the chin worn down on the full face, it could have been my chin. But everyone to their own I suppose.

helmet saved my life in july of this year... i landed on my face... after that, i no longer wear 3/4 helmets... fk that s***. anyone riding around without a helmet is stupid, no question about it.
but, i'm on my 4th bell revolver evo... i just ordered this one:
I sold my Bell Bullitt for a Icon Airmada in rubitone. Fits my "oval" head better, and most importantly flows WAY more air. Also, lighter, and half the cost. Loving it.
