Hey all! I'm gathering parts to do a Fat Bob front end conversion on my 99. I've got a 2011 fork/tree setup and I'm now looking at brakes.
What's involved with using the touring Brembos? They are cheap and plentiful and I'm on a budget.
Any downside?
Thanks!
Won't work properly on late model 49mm lower legs. About a 1/8inch or so of the pad does not make contact with the rotor . Bagger brembos work with 2000-2005 39mm lower legs. Although they do bolt up with the 49mm, the angle it places the caliper is off slightly . Also do to fender mounts the df lower legs are different then the new low rider lower legs .

OK. Thanks! That makes it pretty simple then: keep my eyes peeled for the right calipers.
Added some new mirrors because my old ones were getting rusty, threw my hand guards on because it's getting cold at night, and put in some daymaker ripoffs. With the wiring adapter they don't sit far enough back in the bucket and was only able to get one of the trim ring screws in... When I stop being lazy I'll have to do some cutting and soldering to clean things up a bit and get the lights sitting properly. The low beam isn't terribly impressive but the high beam throws light nice and far.
And I found a sticker to add to the inside of my fairing
