I am not sure why but I did... the good thing is everything that I wanted to transfer from the old 12 UC to the new 17 SGS was without any fitment issues accept for the shift linkage rod. total out of pocket after my purchase has been 48.00 for chrome speaker trim rings. inner fairing and audio boom stage 1 was part of the deal against my trade

Digging my 17' Ultra Limited, with RCX 4.5" slipons and stage II torque cam. Oh yeah, and 1,200 watt Rockford Fosgate sound system with 2x8" subs in bags
Can you offer any thoughts/impressions on the Stage II? Great looking bike, by the way.
I had the ness deep cut which on my 12 bolted outside on both points. The new bikes are offset with the rear outside and the front inside. I made an attempt to install the ness in the same manner as my 12 and it binded hard. I then tried a spacer but that created a real heavy shift and pushed the heim bushing to the max with no movement. I then tried to mount the front of the linkage on the back side but the AN shift linkage was rounded as where the backside is flat. The heim bushing would never make contact. I just went and bought the scripted HD linkage and it works fine.
This pictures is at delivery of mine, last week of Sept.
I have since added, heated grips, 14" Yaffe monkey bars in black, Fullsac 2.25 baffles, rider back rest, quick detach hard ware in black, CB radio. I removed the passenger pegs and am using them as hi-way pegs, removed the back seat.

Thanks Gasguzlr... I love it, sorry I really have nothing to compare to other than my 07' Softail and it has a stage I. All I know is I've hit it a few times with the ol' lady on back and the front tire was airborn BY ACCIDENT!!!!
Had my bud jump on my Softail and the Ultra smokes my Softail quite easily off the line down the road. Still love my softail though!
This thing scoots, 100mph+ smooth as can be with both of us on it, while jamming some SRV

I have a CVO Linkage I plan to use, it has heim joints so I should be okay. If there is a problem, it will likely be putting the 2017 linkage on my 2010 after the swap.
Here are modifications since delivery. 14" Yaffe Monkey bars, CVO limited heated grips, passenger pegs removed, back seat removed, passenger pegs now are hi-way pegs, Yaffe plate frame, rider back rest, black quick detach hard ware. Also added CB and antennae so my wife and I can talk on rides.
