Frost heaves, another feature unique to the frozen lands. Some of the roads here get like washboards in winter. Some just stay that way...

I got wrapped up in a car steering wheel once, was adjusting an old recirculating ball power steering unit, reached through the window and through the wheel to start it up, wheel snapped all the way to one side and yanked me through the window. In that position, was barely able to reach the key to turn it off, bruised heck outta the arm. Guess I did something wrong... Back in my 20's, wasn't an expertise yet.

I've known guys that did, think every one of em complained about not getting much time off. But they wouldn't have it any other way, and they still managed to do as much with the family as I could. Friend with same job I had is doing 6 figures now, but that wouldn't be worth it to me to go back even if I could.
