Four pages in this thread and I don't think I filled up one hand with those that actually obliged the OP's request. Instead we have well over three pages of responses that question the wisdom of such a radical removal on the bikes that we own and are responsible for no matter the result....

Unreal.
I agree, but I was still trying to figure out how the guy dropped his bike by having the rear wheel go out while going thru a puddle at "walking" speed

It's only like 1.05 pages if you modify your page view for 40 posts per page.

Better now?

Nope. A couple glasses of wine, a nice meal, and a good night's sleep will take care of everything.

The puddle was in a low spot, standing water after a wet spell. Had some green slime on the bottom, slicker than snot. Haven't looked at a puddle the same since. Sorry if I ruffled some feathers. I'll keep my mouth shut.

Here's a couple pics of my 15RGS with the bars removed and the Yaffe fairing brace. I liked the look and how clean the lines were on it. Eventually I had the bars sand blasted and powder coated to match the Denim paint. Also added highway pegs and soft lowers for cold weather riding

they do look cleaner with the guards gone.
I have dug the baggers since a kid and my first one bought in 1987, a 1974 FLH Police Special had them on and it is a look I prefer. I like the pegs too and lowers. But they sure look cleaner with them gone.

An added bonus with the guards is should you break a kickstand spring the bike can be layed on the side and the spring easily replaced. You all carry an extra spring right ??
