Speaking of hair, I remember being at a car accident in the middle of winter when I was still on the FD. The vehicle lost control and flipped. Anyway, the car had a sunroof, which shattered. Of course she was bleeding from a huge gouge (a flap actually) in her scalp and it bled lots. So here she is, upside down, still buckled in, head through the sunroof and resting on the cold, frozen pavement. You can imagine what happens when you have frozen pavement and warm blood get together. Her head was frozen to the pavement. They had to cut her hair (which was very long) and heat up the skin flap so they can rush her to the hospital. Was not a pretty site.
