I already have a Suaoki G7 that works on my ride, but it is a bit big, anybody know any other really tiny portable power packs that will jump start a 1690 engine and also has a pigtail harness, I know Antigravity battery does this, but they also say in the small print, not recommended for V-Twin engines, any feedback from the forum would be great, as you guys really know your stuff.
I'm not sure where you found that fine print, but here's a video direct from Antigravity;
The Ducati is a direct contradiction of said fine print, right(?)
Hi JohnMn I found it everywhere even on Amazon and Antigravity website, if it is a mistake on their behalf, if they could clarify it, because I would gladly buy one with the pigtail harness, because I do not see anything else out there, I looked at the Ducati vid and cannot see why it would not start a VTWIN.

There was a long discussion a few months ago about the pigtails being used for jumping,, and the story is they where/are not made to handle high amp current for any length of time for a jump start.
So of course they are going to say not intended,, or some idiot will sue them right?
You can't idiot proof everything.
So whatta ya gonna do? If you want absolute protection for remote jump starting, you'd better get 8ga welders cable and use 3/8" bolts to attach to the battery.
I'm not trying to be a total smartass, but a little common sense is needed when it comes to bikes right?
I am using google uk as a search engine, but that aint that important JohnMn, I see your point about them protecting themselves and agree common sense is correct, and it aint like I will be trying to start the bike for Minutes, it is only seconds if it ever happens, so I like that little unit the XP-3 so probably gonna buy it, thanks for your 2 cents.

That really cool but with the guys test I would have expected the clips would have gotten pretty hot.. It where the current has to pass through the smallest area.. Would have been nice to measure the current supplied.

Interesting again, I wonder if it's an extra UK warning needed.(?)
FWIW I have the XP-1, had it for years now and while I have used it for a few cars and trucks (even in sub 0-f temps) I haven't needed to use it on a bike.
I do think I'd trust the pigtail for a common "low battery" jump for a few seconds at a time.
I think you can see as well I as do,, that if they say it's OK, somebody is going to get on a starting issue that's messed up for an ignition or fuel problem, crank it for 2 minutes and start a fire!!
Well whoever tries to crank for minutes needs to be in a cage and not on a Harley lol.
