Is there a storage facility you could use? Keeping the bike out of the winter, even if it's not climate controlled, would be a huge difference. A smaller storage garage shouldn't cost too much per month. Do pull the battery and put it on a tender; those deep discharge cycles don't do batteries any good at all
There is actually a new DIY garage down the street from my house. Moto Guild Philly which offers storage $70/month as well as more than half a dozen work stations stocked with every tool under the sun. Currently the weather hasn't put out any terrible weather and all that we've got coming the next week or so is just the cold. Ive got the idea to seal her up in a king size mattress bag to protect against moisture. Im looking for a small ez-up shelter that I could pop up over top. I checked into just about everything storing over the winter. Revzilla who are local to me pretty much said just pull the battery, top the fluids off and some fuel treatment add, leave it outside uncovered with a back up seat. Im just biding time for the next few weeks. If i think a really bad bit of precipitation is coming ill take proper steps then.
If you do cover the bike be certain it's the type of cover that can breathe, the last thing you'd want is to seal her up in a type of cover that would hold condensation; that will play hell with the bike. Think ziploc bag with moisture trapped inside, it's got no place to go and can spend the winter on the bike. No bueno
It would be sweet if you could get her in to that DIY garage storage!
Finally got around to putting in the high/low halo adapter for the CD headlight. Holy output! Another plus is the halo ring, I like it. Still cold as hell out.

Took some more parts off...Still haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I'm sending the short block to Darkhorse for crankwork/timken, but I'm still on the fence if I'm going to go 110" with my existing cams, or buck up and go 117" with new cams and more headwork.

Make it a forum vote! I'm sure it'll be neck and neck! I vote for the 117
