My wife just started riding last year. I wouldn't quit bothering her about getting her endorsement. Now she loves it and never wants to ride with me anymore...
We got her a killer deal on a 2006 Sporty.

I truly envy you guys. I grew up around bikes, all metrics and rode on the back of my dads bikes all the time as a kid. Had a bike when in the service, because I enjoyed it and it was fun, cheap transportation. , Now 30 or so years later with the same woman after two kids grown, she decides she wishes to learn to ride a bike. Gets her learners permit follows me and watches what to do and not what to do. I teach her what I learned over my riding career and taking the advanced course ect. I instruct her it would be better to take the course, but as headstrong as she is decides just to take her test. I kind of knew what the outcome would be. Back when I got my license, you take the basic knowledge test , then basically teach yourself then take the test on a course, Passed the first time out. She fails as I expected as they feel they want you to take the course which I whole heartily agree with, but what do I know. She takes the course, enjoys it, passes it. then not long after while following me starts to critique me. I've been on bikes for close 30 years or more. I admit I don't know all there is to know, but feel quite sure I know a lot more than a new rider ect. Am I happy she shares the same interest, why sure, but to be constantly criticized many times out riding, I feel that steels the fun away. Lately I just let her do her thing, but the last thing I want is a tragedy as I have already experienced one at 10 years old and do not wish to experience that again. At 55 now I can still relive that moment in time, but still ride.
I have a 2017 Street Glide Special, Stage three and the wife has a 2014 Heritage Classic. In 2016 we rode from New Orleans to Key West and back. Worked out fantastic as we have NO intercom type device!
