I have them on my '15 Ultra. I like them, however the collector cover scrapes on tight right hand turns. Actually on graded right turns, it has scraped and lifted the rear tire off the ground, thank god I was already being cautious when it happened.
And like this.... I would never recommend those headers. Yes it lifted the bike up and slid over about 3ft before it caught. That combined with the crappy X-pipe heat shield that digs into the chrome creating a rust spot. Better options are out there.

I agree, I won't recommend them either. I recently contacted V&H to complain, hoping to get a little relief on some replacement heat shields. No such luck. The front pipe shield and the crossover shield were something like $300.00. I told them no thanks.
Mine looks just like stro1965's. Scrap them all the time. Lifted rear tire two different times. (Once on the Dragon)
Also, I had the V&H's HiFlow mufflers (4.5"). they would always hit anytime I pulled out of some parking lot and turned right. Especially if there was some sort of dropoff or dip.
Just kind of hit me.... I didn't hardly ever scrap the bottom of x-pipe when I had them on my 2012 SG. But on the CVO RGU, all the time.
I'm surprised Hines is allowed to sell them as they are a potential hazard. Far too many mention scraping and possibly unloading the rear tire.
1) they just don't look good IMHO
2) stock heat shields over a decat header look better and for most part the owner would not notice any difference in performance if you're sticking with a Thundermax
3) what I said in #1
I've never scraped mine..ever. Not too loud either. Maybe I don't lay it down as much as some but from what I can tell, the floor boards would hit first anyway. Personally, I like the Power Duals. Fit and finish is great too as well as performance increase.
Have them on my 14 ultra, scraped them on the beartooth pass. I was not impressed. Another issue I had is my wife complained of the heat from them . Due to the size of the collector they create a lot of heat for the passenger. I wrapped my pipe with header tape and its ok now. Would never buy this pipe again.

The floorboard will not hit first if you hit a bump or compress the suspension in a corner. Don't be surprised when it happens.
