Hello out in forum world. New to the forum. Wanted to intrduce myself and at the same time poll the masses lol!
I have been riding (by the grace of family with a bit of wheeling and dealing) for about 2 years on a 1992 Sporty 1200XLH. Love it and can't get enough of it. My sporty is a bit customized (mainly paint and body).
Speaking of a bit if customizing, I am not a rich man by any means. I am making the best of what I have. I was considering adding Hogworkz lower fairings to my Sporty (as I already added an aftermarket highway bar). Since I use my Sporty for long rides I would like some leg protection.
Has anyone done this already? Will this work? I would like opinions.
I use soft lowers made from marine grade vinyl and secured with velcro.
Easy on and off.
Maybe Ebay or a local shop can make some for you.
Guzzi, thanks for the suggestion. I have seen highway bar "chaps" (kind of sounds like what you are referencing and had made) but I am looking for something a little more permanent.
I haven't seen lower fairings on a Sporty but it may work out. Didn't know Hogworkz made them for Sporties.
Thanks for the welcome! They do not make them for a sporty lol. I was going to get a set and "test fit" them to see if they worked. Basically a "poor mans" way of making a "Sprt Glide" lol.
