yea, I had a neighbors cat (one of many that she had roaming free) that decided to do the same with the convertible top on my new Mustang GT. Apparently it made a nice scratching post. It would have taken me a lot longer to create that solution than the one I came up with
LOL, and there are now signs stapled to the telephone poles in your neighborhood that read: "Missing, Fluffy . . . . "
As a mature responsible adult you should wok the cat at the correct time and this would never have happened think of it as a lesson learned...... your welcome
Yikes...lol
My apologies to anyone offended by my sense of humor
Why do you have cat's in your garage? We have cats, they don't go in the garage.
Declawing is not only cruel but on an older cat may never heal and leave exposed bone. If you think it's such a great solution go chop your finger tips off at the first joint instead of trimming your nails.
Keep their claws trimmed and provide them with a scratching post, when they start scratching it's a sign they need their nails trimmed our 4 cats that have their claws only begin tearing stuff up is if we don't trim their nails.
I have found that the best cat deterrent is mousetraps.
Cats used to sleep under the eaves of my roof, then jump down on the window swamp cooler to reach the ground. Would startle the hell out of me every time (how they got on the roof is a different story)
Set the traps and very carefully place them upside down on the surface you wish to keep the cat off of.
The cat will jump on the surface setting the trap off, which will make a llot of noise and jump a few inches in the air.
The cat will jump a few feet up and will not go around that area anymore. No cats hurt and you can use the traps over and over for what they were meant for.
Get a scratching post, too. Our cat wore out her post and would try to use our couches to scratch on until I re-wound her post with sisal rope. I guess cats need to scratch things on a daily basis.
My cousin who's a crazy cat lady said you could also put a sheet of aluminum foil on places you don't want them to scratch. They don't like the feel of foil on their paws.
