New LED headlight, relocated turn signals to the forks, smoked lenses and switchback LED bulbs in the signals, flipped the mirrors upside down. Two weeks ago I added the siren to the factory alarm and swapped the horn for a denali sound bomb.
started tearing it down. a barn with a table and some adult-sized benches would be nice.... instead... a low budget Dexter kill room with a frilly tablecloth (came with my Biker's Friend bag, PO packed it with table cloths ) on a pop-up table.
Painted my rear taillight again, with the Testors Blazing Black thats a pretty good match for my 'Black Pearl' paint. also did a couple of rusty spots on my fender. not perfect but after a couple days to cure, and maybe a 2nd coat (once it warms up again) it should be close enough for gov't work.
Checked oil again with my fancy digital gauge. still read high so I took out another 1/3 of a quart. Now it reads 'full'. came out with about a 1/2 quart too much. Maybe thats why I had some discoloration at the head gaskets.
also took her for a 45 min ride.. opps
Oil stains near motor mounts / head gaskets
ooh she matched! much better than the flat black i had on it
Gov't close. cant tell in daylight. Once I polish it, maybe wetsand, itll be good. better than rust spots!

1972-era Honda Z50Ak2 fiberglass headlight shell recessed within a handmade number board. Mini Trail 50 headlight is 6 volt but was able to convert it to 12v. Measures 4.25" diameter. Still plenty of room for a cutout of number 69, the number looks the same right side up, or upside down. That's thinking ahead.
Installed Ricor Intiminator Fork Value from DK customs. Was skeptical that a dampening fork valve would help the ride that much but it smoothed out the ride quite a bit. It absorbed the bumps in the road well with good rebound. Previously, these same bumps use to pound me like there was no spring. Happy with this front suspension upgrade.
Spoke with the engineer at love jugs. They are crash-testing the Mighty-mite and will probably be available in 30-40 days in different mesh and options. He did say the mighty-mite is louder than the love-jugs so I am considering the love-jugs for my sporty.

Nice. To be clear... you just pull your spacers/springs and drop these in the forks, then put the springs/spacer on top, right? No drilling etc as someone mentioned in the other thread?
Follow up question: did you cut your spacers down to account for them? If so, how much? I'm eyeing this hard.

No drilling....drill what?
Goes between the dampening rod and spring. I cut 1/2" off the spacer to maintain same height (equivalent to the additional space the valve took). The longer portion goes into the spring. Need to change your fork weight to 5 wts for it to work properly. Keep in mind I retained my Burly lowering fork kit and did not change to progressive springs. I believe to reap the full benefit, DK recommends the Progressive springs. Good luck
