Doesn't do much for me but then I am not a personal fan of the blacked out look, nothing wrong with it I just prefer chrome. For those that liked the blacked out look it is a good platform to start from and I am sure it would save you some $$/time going in that direction. On the other hand I am not sure if I see why it list for 3K more than a Road King. I did see that ABS is a $795 option on the RK and is standard on the RKS. Is there anything else that justifies a $3K price increase
Security is also standard on the special, $395 on the Road King and 19" tires on the special
I've always like the Road King. I've had 4 of them before the one I still now own. I also like blacked out bikes, my Street Glide S shows that. The only thing I'm disappointed in with the new RKS is it is NOT a 114. All the other S models released recently had the larger 110 over the usual 103. I think it would have been wise for them to make it a 114 and that would have REALLY gotten more interest. My 2007 RK came from the factory with a black nacelle etc so I guess that's not really new.

Agreed!!
I like it. Especially in Vivid Black and Charcoal Denim, but it should have the 114" and a few other additions to truly be considered a 'Special'.
For me it really needs the following to be worth the extra cheddar:
114" Motor
Defiance Floor Boards
Quick Detach Passing Lights - I know they don't exist, but they should!
Windshield - Newly designed and w/Bluetooth Speaker Pod
LED Lights - C'mon MOCO!!! Why can't you get this?!?!?!
Fatter Bars - Preferably 12" to 14" Ape Hangers
RK Seat instead of SG/RG Seat
Could you post a larger pic of your bike's front end so I can see how it turned out?
Here you go, sorry not the best of pics with all the stuff in the background but it's -1'C here & snowing so didn't fancy pulling it out of the shed. Hope they help.
LOL, not for that price. Talk about over priced. All that just for black, no light bar, and no windshield. Stupid. I am more than pleased with the looks of mine

Perfect! I really appreciate your help. Gives me hope for mine.

What you're describing would be more in-line with a CVO RK vice a RKS, and then the price tag goes way up.
