Man I would love to get my tins media blasted and then put a translucent paint on like you had with the red, I was super into that look. Can't do it on mine though since the previous owner did some shitty DIY dent repair/bondo work on my tank. I think a really deep blue would look killer.

Played around with some test panels today.

Masked and shot the panel outlines yesterday. I need to cleanup some places, buts it's better than I expected.

That fairing was too bright for the rest of my bike. I've sanded it down and I'm trying a metallic silver.

I've been working on retrofitting some CR250 pegs to fit my Dyna. It's taking some grinding but I believe it's going to work.

It the photo, you can see the stock peg, stock CR250 peg, ground CR250 peg, and parts that I've cut off.

The second pic is of a mock up. I have them drying after repainting the exposed metal.

Over the weekend, I painted the wheels and fork lowers.

For anyone interested, the clear coat over the raw metal lasted about six months. There are places on the rear fender where there is rust under the clear. You can even see water under the clear in places where the clear is lifting from the fender. The tank is fine, but there is a little rust on the front fender tip.

Next week, the tins are getting the satin black treatment.

Now that you've blacked out the wheels I am liking the look a hell of a lot more!! Makes the brushed silver tins stand out and is a great offset.

Doesn't matter what I think tho. Are you planning to change things up again?

Thanks! Next week the tins get painted satin black. The clear coat is finally giving up the ghost. It's pulling away from the metal in places.

What made you go with the Fat Bob drags over the MX-T style you had?

At the time I made the switch, I was having some shoulder problems. The shoulders much better now though.

Now that it's be lowered the bars, I realized how much better the bike handled. It's more in line with an MX bike which I've raced for over 35 years.

I honestly don't see myself going any taller than where I'm at now. I haven't measured it but it's somewhere around 8 inches. I can ride it all day and it feels like it can carve around anything.
