Speaking of scouring Craigslist, I found a guy selling a tour pak off a 2008 Electra Glide. He took it off when the bike was new and it has never been used. He is asking $700.00 o o for it. It's black of course so if I want it to match my bike I'll have to get it painted. A current year color matched unit for my bike would cost me $1200-1300 or more. I have the mounting hardware already. I go look at it this Saturday, it's near my place. What do you think
Chuck. Not a bad price especially if it's like "new". These used tour packs bring good money and usually show a little wear. He might be negotiable if you walk in waving a few Hundo's in his face...... I paid dearly for a new one to match my '15 and it's really not necessary.
Chuck, an uneducated guess says that's a $400 paint job. Pick your poison. Or you can just get a Electra Glide or Road Glide Utra that already come with one. That'll save you the $700 + paint.

I will definitely bring a few crisp Benjamins with me to negotiate with !
