I suspect one should just use the same cedar plank method for preparing carp. Season nicely, bake until tender, throw away and eat the plank.

Quail and ruffed grouse are delicious
My first encounter with a grouse was many many years ago. About O' dark thirty we were walking out to our spot ( deer hunting ) and all of a sudden a 747 took off out of the trees. Scared the heck out of me. My dad just laughed.

Yep! If you are walking them up without a dog, you need a good heart.


Buddy of mine hunted them with a sawed off and just shot from the hip.
