It is a comfy seat. but there are more comfortable seat out there like the mustang ones everyone says. I would say this is cooler looking then comfortable.. vs say a seat that is more comfy and looks goofy. i enjoy my seat, wouldn't trade it but if i did big mile trips id probably has a seat for road trips and this be my cool guy seat.

also im sure this goes with out saying. if you have back issues, plates, pins, stuff like that. you going to have discomfort of some level. i have found that if i wear a kidney belt it can help with lower back pain. just a normal dirt bike kidney belt.

Be careful with a kidney belt as to much support can make back issues worse. I have one used for horses(like a leg wrap)(I'm mad thin) and it's loose, but supports when you need it. I'll dig it up and find the name.

Yeah for sure man. Just trying to do whatever I can at this point. Ordered up the La Pera - reviews said they were the highest quality and while the $400 hurts, its a small price to pay if it helps the spine. Back pain is straight up effin depressing.

Thinking of throwing on some RK air shocks on the back...those progressives you are riding? They helping out good?

Hey Guys - Step 1 in the books. Put the La Pera on. It holds me in place much better, seems to have a little better cushion. Far more aggressive riding position as Im not holding on as I slide back all day. Looks pretty damn good too! Far better back support than the HB.

Anyone need an HB?

Looks good! Now time to throw down on some good shocks! Avoid the cheaper progressives. The more expensive progressives are probably decent, I have Ohlins and like them, but I will admit that I dont have any spine damage. Bi-turbo's seem to be pretty close to the ohlins indesign, but a little more affordable. With shocks you get what you pay for... The RK Air shocks will probably help your ride, but I didn't like the idea of putting shocks on my little bike when they were valved for a few hundred extra pounds of iron...

Ohlins has a "Black" line now for a few more dollars, didnt have em when I got my shocks.

My shocks are HD 145E, advertised as 11-3/8", but the literature is wrong, they are 11-3/4". If your a taller guy, the HD-146 shocks at 14 1/8" long would be your best ride! but thats getting tall for my taste...

One last edit: The shocks come with two spacers for each attachment point (8 spacers total) The proper install method for proper clearance is to have all spacers (2 per bolt) on the inboard, or MOTORCYCLE side, it spaces the shocks out far enough to clear hitting anything (drive belt cover and whatnot)

These may be too tall for you but I installed Progressive 444-4009B. These are 13.5 inch. Fantastic on rough roads and handling is still sharp and predictable, but if you do this a new side stand is in order. You will need the Harley Davidson OEM UK standard side stand so the bike sits correctly for oil check and stability. It is an expensive part.
