I'm not sure you're supposed to, but it's an advantage of using the modular part of a modular helmet.

6 hour ride to Arkansas. 79-81 degrees, but never felt hot. Helmet felt great and apparently vents well. Good call SW about the ear plugs, could hear the music better. Very pleased with the shoei.

Try the Schuberth C3Pro. Best modular out there.

Nope. Neotec is superior. YouTube and other reviews will prove that. The only thing the C3 Pro is better at is being lighter.

I haven't tried the Pro version but I rode with a C3 for a while. I honestly don't think you can say either it or the Neotech is definitely better than the other.

At this end of the helmet spectrum its all about fit and features. For me the Neotech fit me better so I ended going with it. But, the C3 was noticeably quieter and the shield on the C3 seemed to have a better viewing window than the Neotech.

On the other hand, the position of the slider for the C3 sun shield was a little annoying to me, and the ratcheting chin strap irked me (I'm used to the double d ring type and a little more entrenched in my ways than I thought I was).

Either way, there might be a bunch of good Neotech reviews out there but it's clearly not a done deal on which one is better.

It's all opinion based really. But my personal experience and everything I've read and watched says that the Neotec is the better of the two.

I tried a bunch of helmets out before even picking out my bike.

Hard to beat the Shoei Neotec, for ventilation and peripheral vision.

Here's a good thread:

LOL, did you intend to share a link to the exact same thread you are posting in?

I have the Neotech as well as the C3 helmet...as mentioned , the Neotech has better ventilation but the C3 is slightly lighter and a bit quieter.

My only real gripe with the Neotech is it only has one plastic tab on the left side at the bottom of the shield to raise it and it's notchy as hell.

Both very good helmets.
