I want to get a smoked lens brake light for my 2008 FXDF to replace the big ugly red one at present.
Hoping for a nice quick plug and play swap, I found a really well priced light but its from China, given the stigma surrounding their electronics i'm worried about committing to the buy and potentially frying something.
I've seen the smoked laydown ones that have bright leds. They look like a good purchase. you probably saw it on eBay. The laydown ones are nice. I have just the lens but I might upgrade to the leds.
That one is exactly the same size as the big one you want to replace. Only difference is it will not be red. I use a lay down one I got out of The Drag fat book.
When it comes to brake or signal lights on my bike I will only buy from custom dynamics. They are super bright and well built. It's all about being seen on the bike. Not something I would go the cheap route with but maybe that's just me from past riding experiences
