Now I am ,when deer hunting with it a 60 mph. A sport I do not recommend . That was 5 years ago. Broke frame in two places . With wife help and duck tape I rode the next day on my other one. What I broke was wrapped instead of a casts.

For sure that's the issue. I use them and listen to WOT Thunderheader's all day.
My hearing is still good after racing and tuning for over 40 years.
My ears seldom ring but ya gotta git 'em inside the canal so they seal
tight.

And the aerodynamics are outstanding. Very quiet helmet. All you have to do is handle one and try it on to see the quality difference between something like this and a $100-$200 helmet. It is worth every penny.

I could not agree more. I have this helmet and it is awesome. Spend the money, your noggin is worth it.

They cannot go in further. They already hit my ear drum and the flange is flush with the side of my head. These are what I'm wearing.

Cheap earplugs = unsatisfactory performance.

Get a set of custom molded ones, that's what I use. They work perfect and don't create hot spots riding 10 hour days under a helmet. Your local audiologist can hook you up or you can get Big Ears to send you a self-use mold kit. I have two pair of theirs (one has speakers in them for music).

Yup those are junk. And they're not flanged earplugs. I'm issued these and they're very effective and very comfortable on long rides. I take the yellow parts off and use the green ones. I wear them even if I'm going to the corner store for a can of Copenhagen. You can't be too careful when it comes to your hearing.

A decibel rating is a decibel rating, right? 33dB NRR on the disposable foam.

Talked to my local audiologist - $195 for custom molded plugs. Appointment next week.

Just got this Schuberth. Extremely quiet, and installed the SENA 10U system made for this lid and it has changed my riding. The ugly color was cheap
