I spoke to my tyre guy and priced the Avons in 150/200 (last time I was in getting Heidenaus) and mentioned the sizes were for my Fat Bob.

But I expect a little push back, if they aren't happy to fit them I'll just run the Commanders..

Nagatory on both.

Not only do the commanders II's not come in a size to suit the rear the tyre guys were well opposed to fitting a 150/200 so i've ordered the Avons in 130/180.

I have a Harley Michelin Scorcher "31" 180/65B16 rear and a Metzeler ME888 150/80-16 front. No modification required, 9k mi, handles better than the 130 I had on front originally.

I don't think the 200 rear requires any mod...you just have to get an aspect ratio that works. For instance a 200/60R16 means that the sidewall's height is 60% of the 200mm width or 120mm. On my 180/65 rear, the sidewall height is 117mm so the difference in height is negligible. The only difference is that the tire's width from sidewall to sidewall is 20mm wider so 10mm on each side which the fat bob (at least my 08) appears to have. The front I am certain works at 150 and since it is 80% of the width tall, the sidewall height is 120mm which is just 3mm taller than the rear. If anything, a wider tire width and smaller aspect ratio means the tread wraps more and I tend to need that as I ride pretty aggressively.

Take my words with a grain of salt though. My PhD is in Google, not tire science. This is a pretty technical read on the subject but it is very informative nonetheless: https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-relationship-between-cornering-ability-and-width-of-tyres-in-a-motorcycle

Cheers

Its not so much a question of "Will the 150/200 fit?"

more a question of

"Will an aussie tyre guy willingly sell and fit 150/200 combo?"

Haha...yeah I got you. I had to convince my tire guy that the 150 would fit the front, too. I doubt he would have done the 200 rear either but I like the 150/180.

I have a 2015 fat bob superior blue nice bike! I've been looking at extra large hard saddle bags. I have found hardstreet slimbags very nice but I dont know what the distance from the rear fender is to the bag itself is or even if you added easy brackets. I looked at 2 smaller rear lights from Arlen Ness one is 2 1/2 inches wide and the other is 1.20 inches wide. I've tried looking for a relocation kit but I just want to keep the same look in the rear. Maybe some of you gals and girls might have some knowledge on this subject, Thanks!

Hello,
Does anybody happen to know, if there is 2" forward control extension for 2011 FXDF with stock exhaust. Please let me know, thanks.
