I presume you put on new tires.
Many years ago I bought a 1992 FLH that had sat in a barn in Texas for some time. Much of the chrome had light rust. A little WD-40 and 1000 grit sandpaper cleaned it up pretty well. Same goes for the aluminum....followed by a polish with semi-chrome.
